Stefanel Fall/Winter 15

So recently I have been frequenting past the Stefanel store in St Christopher’s Place, and I have to say I think I am in love. Their whole Fall/Winter collection is amazing; full of luxurious cashmeres and wools, slouchy silhouettes, classic greys, creams and camels along with unexpected twists on everyday basics which. As they put it ‘timeless classics’, which I am all about.

If you haven’t been to one of their stores or even looked at their collection, I urge you to go soon and to start preparing that christmas wish list and I am sure there is someone special to treat you this year.

My favourite picks from the collection are:

  2. Striped Trousers £190
  3. Mohair Wool Maxi Cardigan £160
  4. Double Cape Poncho £245

Tonal Dressing

Tonal dressing was seen everywhere on AW14 catwalks; from Haider Ackerman, Hugo Boss , Narcisco Rodriguez to Marc Jacobs. They all went for simple muted tones which showcased the simple clean lines and beautiful fabrics. Pick a colour that works with your skin tone and layer up, there are so many great street style inspirations which look just as good- you really can’t go wrong.

Osman x Amazon Fashion

Osman is well known for his sculptured interesting aesthetic with fans such as Emily Blunt, Beyonce and Gwyneth Paltrow. This collection is what you would expect, a clean simple silhouette but with injections of colour which appeal to his love of art.

I love a good collaboration and there is nothing better than being able to own a piece from a capsule collection at an affordable price. I have never purchased clothing from Amazon, nor is it somewhere that I would immediately think to look at, however, after this I think they will reaffirm their mark as an e-tail giant with a lot more to offer!

I’m lusting after the Tuxedo Jacket which is a Unisex boxy fit in wool, a classic piece to have in any wardrobe which will last every season. And finally, because christmas is fast approaching The Jumper which is also a Unisex slouchy fit with soft touch wool/cotton.

Prices range form £95-150, so I’d snap them up quick.

Faux Fun

Texture is key this AW14. Leather, Fringing, Embellishment and Faux Fur are everywhere and they make for an eye-catching outfit. I have always loved fur, the soft touch, the glossiness and the ability to make you feel a million dollars when draped round your neck. So I was glad to see this year an abundance of it in the catwalks and in particular being bolder and brighter in colour. My favourites are from Shrimps, Charlotte Simone and Helen Moore; all with a varying price point from £40 up to £300 to suit any budget. I love them all but on my wish list is the Popsicle Scarf as it is so luxurious looking and just a hint of colour to brighten up a dull winter day.

Alexander Wang x H&M

Today saw the launch of another eagerly anticipated collaboration with H&M- Alexander Wang. Now everyone can own a designer piece at a high street price and with the rate that previous collaborations have sold, you will need to be quick. My favourite piece, the Padded Biker Jacket has already sold out!

He has for a long time been one of my favourite designers, a leader in the simple and clean aesthetic which so many other brands have yearned for to create cool, sports infused pieces. Below are some of my favourite looks from over the years.
